When Lady Alanna Clayton discovers her fiancé’s infidelity, she stuns Society and breaks off their engagement. Her reputation in ruins, she devotes her time to improving the lives of orphans at the workhouse. When Alanna realizes the children’s futures are in danger, she vows to save them from early death, even if it means having to kidnap them.

Uncaged Review: I loved this book. The author did a fabulous job keeping me engaged and turning pages well past my bedtime. Lady Alanna was disgraced from Society after breaking off her engagement to her cheating fiancé. Taking up the plight of orphaned children, she’s spent the time since devoted to them. Kellen, so abused by the hands of his father, leaves behind his childhood home and all the responsibility to escape to the military. Both Alanna and Kellen have known each other since children, but Kellen isn’t the man that Alanna remembers, he’s cold and cruel. But when circumstances have them entering an betrothal, this book really gets moving.

Betrayal, accusations, kidnapping, secrets, danger, revenge and other challenges face both the reader and the characters in this book. I loved even the supporting cast, and hated the ones I was supposed to hate. This book doesn’t slow down and there are laugh out loud moments and times you will be reading as fast as you can to get to the next page. Highly recommended. Reviewed by Cyrene
