Uncaged Review: We start out with Denise and her team, rescuing chimps from a laboratory that is doing testing on animals, while there she spots a wolf cub in a cage, and manages to grab him too. After the team split up, and the rest of the team take the chimps to an animal sanctuary, Denise takes the cub home and will find out where to take him the next day. But she has no idea she’s rescued a wolf shifter cub, until she sees him morph from wolf to human and back again.
Yogi, who is part of the pack, is tasked with finding the cub and the mother who went missing. After finding the crash with the mother dead, the cub is missing. He tracks the cub down to a cabin that Denise is trying to lay low in and kidnaps both the cub and Denise to take them back to pack territory. But now that Denise knows about the shifters, she’s not allowed to leave.
This isn’t a long book, I finished in one sitting, and there is not really much in character development with either Yogi or Denise, or even the pack itself or its world. But it’s a decent, original story that kept my interest all the way through the book. This is a clean romance, with Denise being a likeable character who uses her inheritance to free animals from labs. There is a bit of danger but tame enough for most.
