Between a Rock and a Cowboy

Contemporary Western Romance
She’s the daughter of their worst enemy…
Tanner Dunn is forced to take the reins of the Rocky Road cattle ranch after his father’s stroke. Even with his hands full keeping his family together, he’s adamant his father receives the best care.
But when their adversary’s daughter, Amanda Hayden Davis, arrives to provide his father’s therapy, it becomes more than he’s willing to shoulder even if she is the best.
Amanda is not happy she’s been assigned to the patriarch of the Dunn family, but she’s a ray of sunshine compared to the grumpy eldest son. When she’s told to leave before she’s started her work, she doesn’t budge.
Despite their conflict, she finds herself respecting his work ethic, his moral compass, and his heart. It doesn’t hurt that he has the shoulders of her dreams and looks amazing in a suit.
He’s also fighting an attraction to her, but old family grudges continue to stand in their way. And if he gives in to her, will he lose the ranch? Or will resisting her be the biggest mistake of his life?
Uncaged Review: The Dunn’s and Hayden’s are two families of cattle ranchers and who are sworn enemies, but it hasn’t been explained to the kids why or how the feud started, they just know they’ve been known to hate each other. Tanner has been working the ranch since his father Jeremiah – the patriarch of the family had a stroke. Having him at home to recover, he hires a therapist to work with his father to bring him back the best that he can. Little known to him, is when Amanda turns up, and she’s a Hayden, Tanner wants nothing to do with her, but she’s the only one that can help his father..so he reluctantly agrees.
Slowly Tanner realizes what a great help Amanda has been to his father, and slowly the two become closer. But the feud will get in the way of their HEA, and the drama between the two families may destroy everything they’ve found in each other. This book has a great cast of characters and I really enjoyed Jeremiah and Brody along with Tanner and Amanda. There is drama, action and a heartwarming story all wrapped up in one, and quite a bit of humor. Easily one of my favorite western reads and I’m looking forward to Brody’s story. Reviewed by Cyrene
