Uncaged Review: This second book in the series revolves around Marie and John. Early on, Marie is kidnapped by a priest, and taken back in time to find one of the stones of Iona. All Marie dreams about is her love for John and knowing eventually he will find her, or she hopes. The world building is excellent, the characters are easy to like and the suspense and twists this book take will leave the reader flipping pages. It was so well described that I felt part of the story, not an outsider looking in.
This is a great sequel, and to fully understand this series, you need to start with the first book, Stone of Love. Sometimes sequels don’t measure up to the original, but this one does not carry that weight. Even though this book started off a bit slow for me, by the time I got to the halfway point, it was hard to put down. A highly recommended series for the fantasy romance lovers.
